How do I receive the software?
The software will be emailed to you instantly in Zip format on successful purchase.

Does PollPro run on a Unix Server?
No.

Will PollPro work on a Linux Server?
No.

How does PollPro prevent duplicate voting?
PollPro can use both cookies and IP tracking to prevent multiple voting. The constants BlnCheck4Cookie and BlnCheck4IP are set to True by default in ‘config.asp’. A cookie will be written to the visitor’s browser and their IP recorded for a particular poll. When they try to vote again for that poll they will be blocked from doing so.

You can just check for the IP address or a cookie or neither. If you have both constants set to false then the vistor will be able to vote as many times as they wish.

If you just have the constant BlnCheck4Cookie set to True then a cookie will be written to the visitor’s browser. The cookie will last as long as you set the expiry period for through the constant iPollBar in ‘config.asp’.

Can users browse expired polls?
Yes provided the constant BlnShowPreviousPolls is set to True in ‘config.asp’.

Do you offer a downloadable demo or trial version of your software?
Unfortunately no, as our products are provided with full source code we are unable to offer free trials. Provided your server meets the basic requirements the product will work exactly as the demo.

Do you offer a SQL Server Version?
Currently no though we are working on offering one.

Is there a limit to the number of options you can have for a poll?
No, you can have as many options as you want. There are currently 5 poll graph images. The images will repeat themselves after every 5 options. So if the graph bar for option 1 is red then the graph bar for option 6 will be red again.

Does your software offer poll scheduling?
No. PollPro allows the user to easily set a poll to active from the list of polls in admin. You can simply toggle between listed polls.

Can I turn off the poll suggestions and poll comments options?
Yes this can be done individually in “config.asp”.

Can I edit the poll question, the options and change the number of votes for each option?
Yes PollPro allows you to edit everything in admin and offers the ability to “spoof” votes cast.

Yes we offer a free installation and technical support.

I get this error when I try and run the software?

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.

In order to use Microsoft Access through ASP, you must give the file/folder write permissions if you wish to update the database.
The anonymous IIS user must have WRITE permission to the Access file. (.mdb)
To set this permission:
1. In windows explorer, browse to and open the “poll” folder.
2. Right click on the folder containing the Access file.
3. Click on properties.
4. Click the "Security" tab.
5. Click "Add".
6. Add the "Internet Guest Account".
7. Make sure "Read", and "Write" are all checked for this user.

Can I edit and customize PollPro?
Yes you can edit the software as all the source code is provided. You can edit the code with any HTML editor.
