The Brief
When our client approached us, they wanted to improve the performance of their Google Ads to drive sample requests for their target products. The focus was on converting non-brand searches and attracting high-quality leads.
Initially, the campaign was launched without a dedicated landing page while a tailored design was being developed. Therefore the objective was to create a landing page that would significantly increase the number of sample requests.
Strategy – What did we do?
We developed a conversion-focused landing page aimed at engaging the target audience effectively. The key elements of the landing page design included:
- Simplified Navigation – We streamlined the user experience by eliminating distractions and prioritising key actions.
- Stronger Headlines & Subheadings – Compelling and clear copy was crafted to highlight benefits of their product.
- Improved Messaging – Content was tailored to address the specific needs and concerns of potential users.
- Social Proof – Video testimonials were integrated to build trust and show the effectiveness of the product.
- Stronger CTAs – Clear and persuasive calls to action were implemented to guide users toward requesting a sample.
- Simplified Checkout – The form submission process was optimised to reduce friction and improve completion rates.
The landing page was launched on 19th February, and we continued to refine the design based on performance data and user feedback.
The Results – What did we achieve?
The launch of the landing page had an immediate and substantial impact:
- Pre-Landing Page (1st Jan – 19th Feb): Conversion rate was 2.89%.
- Post-Landing Page Launch (19th Feb – 30th April): Conversion rate increased to 5.01%.
- Continued Optimisation (14th May – 11th September): Conversion rate further improved to 5.77%.
Overall, the introduction and continuous optimisation of the landing page resulted in an 86% increase in the conversion rate. One of the high-intent campaigns consistently achieved a conversion rate of over 10%, highlighting the effectiveness of the landing page in driving non-brand sample requests for our client’s products.
Within 1-2 months of running Google Ads, the client hit their sample request targets for the first time in 10 months of the financial year. They are now investing more in their Google Ads strategies.
