Ecommerce SEO Case Study – 374% Increase in Revenue

Project Overview

The client originally contacted Codefixer and used our Google Ads Shopping services to quickly generate sales and revenue on their eCommerce website and drive footfall into their store. This worked extremely well and was very profitable. We were able to dramatically increase sales, lower the cost per acquisition and generate a fantastic return on investment.

Proposal

On the back of this success, we suggested to the client that their organic SEO was clearly underperforming and that we could drive sales through this channel as well.

We proposed to do an SEO audit, which amongst other things included a technical review, competitor analysis, keyword research, and onsite SEO review.

Strategy

Our strategy was to increase the Organic SEO through higher rankings and also increase Google My Business traffic. Our audit identified the issues and proposed recommendations and tactics with timescales and resources that we needed to implement to boost rankings and help improve sales.

Execution

Starting with on-site SEO, we tackled the basics and worked on improving the page titles that included rewriting long-winded titles with shorter more succinct keyword-driven titles with CTAs. We also re-wrote and standardised the meta descriptions. At the time of writing, we are working still working on implementing many of the on-site SEO recommendations highlighted in the audit.

Result

After just 5 months of work, revenue is up 374% Year on Year, traffic is up, keyword rankings are up considerably, and in-store visits are also up.
